What we collect, and what we don't.

NotchDodo is a one-time purchase with no account to create. There is no login, no profile and no cloud sync, so there is very little about you for us to hold. Last updated 30 September 2026.

The app on your Mac

NotchDodo runs entirely on your Mac. What it shows in the notch stays on your Mac: your now playing track, timers and Pomodoro history, files and screenshots on the Shelf, notes, tasks, calendar events, screen time, cursor distance, AI usage, your dev servers and your Wrapped. None of it is sent to us, and we cannot see it.

The app goes online for five things only. Your licence: when you activate it, and about once a week after that, it checks the key with Dodo Payments, sending the key and a machine identifier so the 2-Mac limit can be enforced; if you are offline, the app keeps working. Updates: a few times a day it reads the list of versions on notchdodo.com so it can tell you when a new one is out, sending nothing about you. A trial key: once, if you activate one, it sends the id of the key and the app version so we can count trials in use. Exchange rates: only if you convert currencies in the calculator, from the free Frankfurter service. Album artwork: while Spotify is playing, the cover is downloaded from Spotify, the same image the Spotify app shows. None of these send your name, your files or anything you do in the app.

The Menu Bar tool uses Accessibility access to read where your menu bar icons are and to click the one you pick. It reads nothing else and sends nothing anywhere.

If you turn on Claude Code alerts, the app adds one small entry to Claude Code's settings file on your Mac, and removes it when you turn alerts off. The events it receives stay on your Mac.

If you asked for a free trial

The trial page, while it was open, asked for your email address so we could send you a key. We store that address next to the key we gave you, and the time you asked, so the same person cannot take the whole pool and so we can help if the email never arrives. You are not added to any mailing list and you will not get a follow-up sequence. Ask us and we will delete the record.

When you buy

Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, who act as merchant of record. They collect your email address, your payment details and the billing information their tax obligations require. We never see or store your card number. From them we receive your email address, the payment reference and your licence key, which is what lets us send your key and answer support questions later.

Your licence email is sent through Resend. Support email you send us arrives at info@authoritymartmedia.com and is kept only as long as it takes to help you.

This website

We keep our own count of page views on our own server: the page, where the visit came from, a coarse device type such as phone or Mac, and the country your network reports. No cookie, no identifier, and nothing that singles you out. Alongside that the site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read, and the Meta pixel to measure whether our ads reach people who find the app useful. Both set cookies and both record your IP address, the page you are on and general information about your browser and device. When you buy, we also tell Meta that a purchase happened, identified by a one-way hash of your email address rather than the address itself.

If you would rather not be measured, a content blocker or your browser's tracking protection will stop both, and nothing on this site or in the app will stop working.

Who else touches your data

• Dodo Payments, payments, invoicing and licence keys.
• Resend, delivery of licence and support email.
• Vercel, hosting for this site, which keeps standard server logs.
• Cloudflare, DNS for notchdodo.com.
• Google Analytics and Meta, website measurement and advertising.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the services above.

Your choices

Email info@authoritymartmedia.com and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Deleting your purchase record also removes our ability to re-send your licence key, so we will ask you to confirm that first. Records we have to keep for tax and accounting reasons stay with Dodo Payments for as long as the law requires.

Children

NotchDodo is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it. Questions go to info@authoritymartmedia.com.
