Getting NotchDodo running.

Three minutes, start to finish. Version 0.1.22, 4.4 MB. macOS 14 Sonoma or later on Apple silicon. Macs without a notch get a simulated one.

   Download the disk image

   Use the button from your purchase email or the one below. Safari saves it to Downloads.

   Drag NotchDodo to Applications

   Open the disk image and drag the app onto the Applications folder next to it. Then eject the disk image.

   Open it once from Applications

   Double-click NotchDodo in Applications. If it opens, skip to step 5.

   If macOS says it could not verify NotchDodo

   The message reads “Apple could not verify NotchDodo is free of malware”. It appears because this build is not yet notarised with Apple. The app is safe to open, and this is how you tell macOS so:

   1. Click Done on the message.
   2. Open System Settings, then Privacy & Security.
   3. Scroll down to the Security section. You will see “NotchDodo was blocked to protect your Mac”.
   4. Click Open Anyway, confirm with your password or Touch ID, then click Open.

   macOS remembers the choice. You only do this once per version.

   Prefer Terminal? This does the same thing:

   xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/NotchDodo.app

   Paste your licence key

   A black panel hangs from your notch and asks for the key the first time. Paste it and click Activate. It needs an internet connection once. The key works on 2 Macs.
